Lauren is the owner of The Honey Bee Wedding Cake Company. She has rapidly moved her business from being run alongside her main job to becoming a successful full time wedding cake designer, alongside looking after her young twin sons. Her work has been featured many times in print and online and her diary is fully booked at least a year in advance.
With a career background in teaching (business and economics) and investment banking, alongside a degree in Business Management, Lauren has a wealth of knowledge and expertise to share. She is passionate about working with ambitious cake makers who are looking to boost their business potential, and increase their incomes.
So What Does it Involve?
The sessions will be held via zoom, where Lauren (or a guest expert) will share a presentation on that week’s topic. The power points and a worksheet to help you take action on each topic will be provided. Each session will be around 60 mins with 15 mins for questions.
Ideally you attend live so you can ask questions but the sessions will all be recorded and available to watch and rewatch at any time. You’ll have 12 months access to the videos and the powerpoints / worksheets will be downloadable and yours to keep for life.
There will be a dedicated VIP Facebook group if you want to ask questions having watched on replay. This is a great space to get to know the other lovely cake makers on the course, and to share successes or ask for advice.

I highly recommend this course, because Lauren’s support and mentoring helped me achieve in 12 weeks things that I’d been meaning to do for over a year.
I think that having both a mentor who is kind and patient, and a group of like minded people to talk to, is a wonderful combination that will result in professional and personal growth for anyone willing to put in the time. Before this course, I had a huge issue with confidence, always thinking I’m not good enough, comparing myself to others but with the support of Lauren and the ladies in the group I definitely feel good about myself and my work – and I feel like I should charge for my skill because I am good enough.
I also had problems with pricing which Lauren went into so much detail with including spreadsheets to work out every individual cost, breaking every little bit down to show us how much time and effort we do put into our cakes and lots of little costs that you forget about, but now after discussing this and being shown everything in detail I now feel a lot more confident in my pricing.
I cannot recommend this course enough to anyone wanting to progress into the wedding industry, it’s a great course with a very experienced teacher. If you want to get into weddings I would definitely book on.
